Built-in 30% Savings for UK Businesses

RENO, NV -- Launching in the summer of 2007 is the Yank Web Design consortium of American designers who specifically design for the United Kingdom market

"Thanks to the cheap dollar we can offer premium web design at substantial savings," says the consortium organizer Robert Moen.

The maximum charge for consortium members is £50 per hour. In comparison UK Web designers charge about £72 per hour on average*.

"We'll deliver our first two or three Web site designs at even a lower fee, as a way of getting the consortium off the ground," according to Mr. Moen.

Since he launched it in 1999 Mr. Moen has owned and operated the popular British Isles' shopping directory, Surf the Isles (www.surftheisles.com). He's done business with several hundred online shops in the UK. "Over and over they've told me they are dissatisfied with their designers. It's not only costs, but also the lack of service, missed deadlines and the hassle of getting minor updates performed."

When an UK business seeks design services, Yank Web Design assesses the company's needs then introduces it to several of its designers whose experience best matches those needs. From that point forward the primary relationship is between the company and the designer it chooses. All aspects of the project are monitored closely by Yank Web Design.

In longstanding business tradition, Yank Web Design serves the role of a broker. It introduces buyers to sellers, receives a fee from sellers and adds value to the transaction by helping reconcile differences. For the decade of the 1990s Mr. Moen served as chief financial officer of an American insurance broker that placed millions of dollars of business with Lloyds of London. Members of the Yank Web Design consortium follow this code of conduct:

• Our word is our bond
• Designers each have at least ten Web sites under his or her belt
• Sites designed with eye toward search engine optimization
• Designers quote project cost and timetable in advance in writing
• Designers do not rely solely on email; They agree to be make themselves available by telephone no later than 4PM UK time
• Yank Web Design will arbitrate disputes, when requested
• Yank Web Design monitors progress of projects by receiving copies of all written communications
• Design services billed through Paypal in British Pounds Sterling
• No customer held hostage; Designers share web host's login and site's password with customer
• Designers endeavor to deliver site updates overnight and customers are allowed/encouraged to perform own site updates
• Customers can quit a designer at any time and pay only fees incurred to date

* SURVEY METHODOLOGY: Average of first fifteen UK designers that quoted fee found through Google UK-in-UK search of 'hourly rate'. Few large Web design companies quote rates so survey average is undoubtedly on low side.
